April 1, 2025 – The "Building Carbon Emission Calculation Exchange Forum and Donghe Carbon Emission Calculation Analysis Software Launch Event" took place, spotlighting the construction industry’s green transition. The event debuted "Donghe Carbon Emission Calculation Analysis Software V3.3" and convened nearly 200 experts to discuss carbon calculation standards, methodologies, and trends.

During the launch ceremony, Fan Xinfang (First-Level Inspector of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development), Li Dezhi (Associate Dean of Southeast University’s School of Civil Engineering), Su Jingwei (Discipline Inspection Commission Secretary of China Construction Ecological Environment Group), Wu Jingshan (Secretary-General of China Building Energy Efficiency Association), Zhang Hua (Deputy Director of Jiangsu Dongyin Smart Engineering Technology Research Institute), and Yuan Wei (Dean of Southeast University Architectural Design Institute) jointly initiated the official launch of "Donghe Building Carbon Emission Calculation and Analysis Software V3.3."

The new version complies with the Building Carbon Emission Calculation Standard (GB51366-2019), aligns with Jiangsu’s latest Civil Building Carbon Emission Calculation Standard (DB32/T 4880-2024), and responds to revisions in the Jiangsu Green Building Development Regulations. It is publicly accessible at https://carbon.seuicc.com/. The software covers the entire carbon emission process (estimation, budgeting, accounting) and supports analyses at building, project, and regional levels. With over 3,600 emission factors and 5,000 registered projects, it has served more than 10,000 users.

The seminar featured keynote speeches by Sun Zhi (Director of Urban-Rural Construction Standards, Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development), Wu Jingshan, Li Xiaofeng (Deputy Chief Engineer of China Building Standard Design & Research Institute), Zhang Gaijing (Deputy Chief Engineer of Shanghai Research Institute of Building Sciences), Wu Zhimin (Chief Engineer of Jiangsu Building Science Research Institute), and Zheng Saina (Southeast University). Discussions centered on optimizing carbon accounting methods and regional collaboration.

As China’s first fully independent, lightweight carbon calculation software, Donghe will integrate AI-driven carbon prediction and emission reduction modules. Li Dezhi stated that Southeast University will deepen industry-academia collaboration and leverage AI to advance low-carbon goals in construction.

The event marks a milestone in carbon calculation tool development and underscores Jiangsu’s leadership in green building innovation.
