March 25, 2025 – Elsevier officially released the 2024 "Highly Cited Chinese Researchers" list. Nine faculty members from our school were recognized in this prestigious ranking (see the full list below).
Since 2015, Elsevier has released this list 11 times. Using the globally authoritative citation and indexing database Scopus as the statistical source for Chinese scholars' research achievements, this list serves as an authoritative reference for identifying top scholars across disciplines and research fields. It systematically showcases breakthroughs and innovations by experts in key technological research and critical domains, attracting significant attention from domestic and international media and scholars.
It is reported that the 2024 "Highly Cited Chinese Researchers" list includes 6,388 individuals from 547 universities, enterprises, and research institutions, covering 10 disciplinary fields and 83 first-level disciplines under the Ministry of Education. Southeast University has 91 scholars on the list (including 11 in Civil Engineering), with 9 from our institute.
