Visit and Exchange with the École Spéciale des Travaux Publics (ESTP) from France

On the afternoon of March 19th, Joël CUNY, President of the École Spéciale des Travaux Publics (ESTP) in France, Sophie-Caroline HUISMAN, Director of External Affairs, and Yvon VELOT, ESTP's representative in China, visited our university for exchanges. Vice President Jin Shi, Director of the Graduate School Lu Jian, Deputy Director Zhang Jingjing from the Office of International Cooperation, and Professor Hou Daoping, along with Dean Guo Tong, Vice Dean Huang Zhen, and Assistant Dean Cai Jianguo from our institute, welcomed and engaged in discussions with the visiting delegation.

Vice President Jin Shi warmly welcomed the delegation from ESTP and briefly introduced Southeast University and the basic situation of the civil engineering discipline. Vice President Jin pointed out that both universities have had stable and continuous student exchange programs over the past 20 years, providing a solid foundation for future cooperation in dual-degree programs and faculty exchanges.

President Joël CUNY expressed heartfelt thanks for the warm reception from our university. He introduced the basic situation of ESTP in terms of educational mechanism, talent cultivation, and faculty. Acknowledging the good communication foundation established in the past, he expressed the hope for strengthened exchanges and cooperation in the future.

Dean Guo Tong from the School of Civil Engineering presented an overview of the institute covering six aspects: general introduction, undergraduate education, graduate education, research and achievements, international cooperation, and future development plans.

Subsequently, both parties signed a framework agreement for cooperation and discussed and exchanged views on aspects such as dual master's degrees, student exchanges, and joint training programs.
